Jamey Houghton

Senior Pastor

My name is Jamey Houghton and I have been the lead pastor at the Franktown church since 2014. I started unofficial ministry as a student missionary on the island of Pohnpei in Micronesia. I came back to Southern Adventist University and switched my major heading in the direction of ministry. During my time at Southern I married Erin Johns and after college we headed to Bangkok, Thailand to teach at an Adventist school for one year. Following Thailand, we moved to Bakersfield, California where I served as the youth/associate pastor for the Hillcrest church. While in Bakersfield we were blessed with the birth of our daughter Callie and our son Josh. In 2012 we moved to Denver, Colorado (our daughter Riley was born just after we moved to Denver!) where I led out in a new department at the Rocky Mountain Conference training young people all over the conference to preach and lead out in an evangelistic series. In the three years I led that department we held 55 evangelistic series and had 550 baptisms—and all of the series were preached by young people! For a short time, I led the student evangelism department and served as the pastor at the Franktown church, eventually transitioning full time to the Franktown church. I am passionate about evangelism and mission work and have led out in mission trips all over the world. In addition to an undergraduate degree from Southern Adventist University, I have masters degrees in Ministry and Business Administration from Point Loma Nazarene University and Western Governors University. In my free time I enjoy traveling, off-roading, skiing/snowboarding with my family, disc golf, reading, and camping.

If you visit the Franktown church, please come and say hi! I would love to meet you and personally welcome you to our church.

Irishura Gidioni

Youth/Associate Pastor

My name is Irishura Gidioni, the Youth/Associate pastor at Franktown SDA Church on August 06, 2022. I was born in a refugee camp in Tanzania along with 8 other siblings and grew up in an Adventist home with parents that raised us to love and fear God at a really young age. I loved watching my father as he led and developed our village church through evangelism, discipleship, bible studies and baptisms. As I watched him, I became very passionate about ministry and one day I said, “This is what I want to do for the rest of my life”. This is when I first felt the call to ministry at age 7. My father was diagnosed with dementia when I was only 9 but God sent spiritual mentors who continued to help me fall deeper in love with Jesus.

God has always been faithful to me and His calling for my life in ways I couldn’t have imagined. As a teenager I led Youth Ministries for three years at my local Church in Iowa, served as a Church Choir director for two years, led board meetings, served as a conference bible worker, and held evangelistic meetings. I have also served as a Chaplain of the International Club at Union College, chosen to be class pastor for Class of 2021 at Union College, became a Volunteer Youth Pastor Intern under pastor/president Erik Vandenburgh in the Hawaii Conference and I have been involved in many online ministries including my personal YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok ministry called “Word Of Power”.

I love the Adventist Church and am committed to its mission of sharing the last gospel message as presented by the three angels in Revelation 14. God has used me to transform so many lives of both the young and the old and it’s an honor to be a part of the amazing work He is doing here in the Franktown Church.

This is one church you won’t want to drive past and I am so thrilled and honored to serve in such a loving, accepting and Jesus-centered Church and can’t wait to experience what God has planned for the youth of Franktown as I lead them into a life-changing and growing relationship with Jesus Christ through the help of the Holy Spirit and the Church body.
